"Say Pest to the Dress" is an episode that premiered with "Delight Me, Delight Me Not" on February 20, 2016 on Disney XD.[2]
It is the fifty-fifth episode in the series.
Synopsis[]
Lord Starchbottom calls upon the 7D to help with a pest infestation in the Queen's wardrobe.[3]
Plot[]
"We're Working on It!" |
The episode opens with Dopey and Bob the Squirrel running into the 7D's cottage, wanting to borrow a jar from Doc. Sleepy describes Dopey and Bob as "nutty", which is a recurring gag. Cutting to the castle, Lord Starchbottom calls for Queen Delightful, but instead sees the garden a mess due to Sir Yipsalot and the queen spending the morning burying and digging up bones. Starchy recommends that the queen go take a shower because she's drenched in mud. Meanwhile Queen Delightful asks Starchy to prepare her dress for the parade. When Starchy opens the closet, he is met with an entire closet full of woodland animals! Not wanting Queen Delightful to go into a tizzy, he convinces her to continue showering by telling her it's "Stay in the Shower for Hours Day". After several failed attempts of trying to get rid of the animals himself, he reluctantly calls for the 7D to do the job as the Queen continues to shower. The 7D use one of Doc's inventions to safely remove all of the animals and release them back into the forest. Meanwhile Grim Gloom releases a cart full of rats and skunk into the castle in place of the woodland animals.

Running Gag[]
- Sleepy describing Dopey and Bob the Squirrel as "nutty", as he says "They're both kinda nutty", with him eating nuts.
Continuity[]
- The animation of Doc working on the Very Best Catch-a-Pest (shown on the right) was later reused on "The Family Pickles" (see the episode's trivia section for more information).
- Queen Delightful and Sir Yipsalot's digging of the castle courtyard recalls the events of "Sir Yipsalot and the Mutt", when the Queen decided to let Sir Yipsalot be an ordinary dog instead of being royally pampered, and at the end Delightful played along with him.
- This is the first time Grim wears his cowboy costume; the second is in "Bedknobs and Gloomsticks".
- This is the second episode where Grumpy says "What are you, five?'. The first was "The Long, Long Winter" and the third time is "What Are You, Five?".
Trivia[]
- Episode 4 of Season 2 marks the first and only time the Crystal Ball appearing in both episodes.
Cultural References[]
- "Say Pest to the Dress" is a play on the title of the popular reality TV series Say Yes to the Dress.
- Queen Delightful's light parade references the real life Main Street Electrical Parade that was an attraction at the Disney theme parks.
Goofs[]
- The Funnel Tunnels portal at the castle disappears when the 6D and Starchbottom proceed to walk upstairs.
- In the scene (right) where the 6D walk up to Queen Delightful's wardrobe with Lord Starchbottom, Dopey is seen with the group. He is supposed to be out with Bob the Squirrel.
